Candle Care

Always follow basic candle safety:
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch tall before you light or relight your candle to keep the wax clean and burning nicely.
- Place the candle on a stable heat resistant surface away from flammable objects before lighting.
- Allow enough time for the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container to prevent "tunneling".
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Be sure to extinguish the candle before leaving the room.
- Avoid burning your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
- Keep all candles out of the reach of children and pets.
-
Some candles are designed for decorative purposes only and should not be lit. Please review product descriptions and labels carefully before use.

More Detailed Candle Care Instructions
Follow these simple tips to enjoy a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn from your KilaNova candle.
Before Each Burn
-
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting.
-
Remove any debris or wick trimmings from the wax.
-
Place the candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
First Burn Matters
-
Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface of the candle.
-
This usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size.
-
A full melt pool helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn.
During Use
-
Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Keep away from drafts, fans, pets, and children.
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
If the flame becomes too large or flickers, extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight once cooled.
When to Stop Burning
-
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
-
Burning below this level may cause the container to overheat.
General Safety
-
Keep candles at least 3 inches apart when burning multiple at once.
-
Do not move the candle while the wax is hot or liquid.
-
Always extinguish candles before leaving the room or going to sleep.
